NEW KITTEN CARE SUGGESTIONS

Hi, I am a BOLD BEAUTY cat! My birth mom and my caretaker
have given me the best start in life they could and they asked me to
pass along some secrets to you.
I have never been alone in a big
empty house so please let me get used to your house one room at a time.
Please put food and water in one corner and my litter box in another
corner and let me stay in that room for a day or two, until I get used
to you and my new food, water, litter and life. I need time to learn my
way around so be patient with me if I forget where the litter box is a
time or two; kindly carry me to the litter box to remind me where it
is. Please clean my litter box every day and I will use it for you.
I
am a growing baby and I need the very best food you can buy. Please at
least buy a small amount of what my caretaker has been feeding me and then
mix my permanent food into it slowly. Also, please rotate my dry food with a quality
canned food. Dry food is great but I need a balanced diet of dry and canned (an all meat type is best).
If there are any other pets in the house, please
introduce me to them one at a time and for only a few minutes at a
time. If you have to leave us home alone, even for a few minutes,
please close me in a room away from them with my food, water and litter
box. Without you there to protect me, they might really hurt me.
I
have never been handled by a small child so please don't get upset with
me if I run or try to hide, it means they are scaring me. Stay close by
to supervise and remind them that I am a baby and can easily be hurt if
not handled very gently.
I am a baby, so please treat me as
such, and give me time to get used to living with you and your
household. If you treat me well, I will grow up to be a beautiful,
loving, playful adult, and all of your friends will be jealous.
